Ahh the day after Thanksgiving.  We groggily emerge from our turkey-induced haze, filled with the good spirit of family, friends and food, ready to now run over BFF Shauna or Aunt Polly with our shopping carts if they dare touch that last Xbox.  Don’t you love the holidays?

Somewhere between the parades, the football and the food I hope you were able to take time to reflect on the things you are thankful for.  In that thread, I wanted to share with you my newest blog find: 1000 Awesome Things.

It’s all about finding the awesome in your everyday life.  Who doesn’t need some of that?

Here are a few of my favorites:

#634 The moment on a roller coaster after you get to the top of the first big hill and before you go down it

#845 Good escalator etiquette

#879 The Parking Lot Pull-through

#895 Getting something with actual handwriting on it in the mail

#899 The smell of frying onions

#917 The moment at a concert after the lights go out and before the band comes on stage

#930 Finally getting a piece of popcorn that’s been stuck in you mouth all day out

#956 Using Rock-Paper-Scissors to settle anything

#981 Wearing underwear just out of the dryer

#977 Locking people out of the car and pretending to drive away

What can I say…I think tons of things are awesome!  Go check out the website for yourself, then come back here and let me know what you think is awesome too!

One Response to “Blog-Curious: Now with Awesome”

Your list is great already, and there is no need repeating so I will just add to it. There are too many things that are awesome so I tried to stick to just a few. Plus the following that I am adding myself.

Number #1001 Not making links because someone knows the website already.

#942 Somebody flashing their high beams at you to warn you about the cops

#878 The smell and sound of a campfire

#876 Taking your bra off after wearing it for hours

#828 Remembering what movie that guy is from

#717 Sleeping with one leg under the covers and one leg out

#711 When you get home so late the newspaper is already lying at the front door

And my favorite by far…
#850 Absolute perfect silence
Silence is so wonderful, I am not sure if I remember what it sounds like anymore.
