It is hard to believe that it is already December 1st. Time to check in with how I did on my November goals and set sights on the month ahead:
November Goals:
1)Finish and mail all Thank You notes for wedding presents. Finished! There are a few stragglers, some are addresses I don’t have yet and some are presents we just got (as in, today), but overall these are finished and it feels great!
2)Practice daily meditation for at 10 minutes. FAIL. This didn’t happen. Not once. I never felt that committed to it.
3)Cook 4 new recipes from Martha Stewart’s Cooking School Hand made pasta. Spinach and goat cheese frittata. Pan Fried Steak with Balsamic Glaze. Chicken Piccata.
4)Clean my sink nightly (see FlyLady) Done. This makes me happy.
5)Have Christmas cards ready to mail by Nov. 30th FAIL. But we changed our plans, so its all good.
6)Plan and host a dinner party for 4 friends (for 6 people total) FAIL. Everyone is too busy. I’ll regroup on this one in January.
7)Read 1 fiction and 1 nonfiction book. I’m halfway through my fiction book and I did read 2 non-fiction books this month. Half credit.
8.) Start the 100 Push Up Challenge (this is a 6 week program, so it will carry on into December). Yes! I am still working my way through this one. I got a little behind due to Thanksgiving, but I will still finish this goal in December.
Hmmm…4.5 out of 8 is barely 50%. I’m going to need to step up my game in December! Speaking of…
December Goals
1. Continue to clean the sink nightly and wipe down the counters while I’m in there.
2. Read 1 fiction and 1 non-fiction book. Finish current fiction book and review it here.
3. Make oreo truffles and haystacks and take to work.
4. Find a good cause for a end of year donation. Something that makes me feel warm and fuzzy.
5. Find fabric/art for large frame we bought this weekend. Hang it.
6. Organize the office to a point that it is useable.
7. Delight in our little family’s first Christmas together.
Maybe a lighter month this go around, no need to overwhelm myself over the holidays.
Anyone else playing along? How did you do? What’s on tap for next month?
